So back in late June this year, Min and I were headed down to Southern California, specifically near San Diego on vacation. We had already booked two nights at the Four Seasons and another night at a nice Surf & Sand Hotel just up the road from there. We thought one more night may be nice and thought that a bed and breakfast, B&B, would be nice. Turns out that Tori Spelling’s B&B would be interesting and since we hadn’t been at a B&B in years, it’d be a perfect time. I however could not make reservations after emailing twice and calling on three separate occasions. So what gives?
Well, with the new Tori & Dean Inn Love show coming out apparantly, there’s news now that it’s just a staged show and the house is being rented out and was never owned by Tori & Dean (see link). I’d be interested if anyone else knew anything about this. Not many reviews but the first review on this one page probably mimics what many have been coming up against. Guess I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the case….it’d be perfect for ‘Hollywood’.
I know someone who has stayed there and it’s not a fraud. Tori and her hubby had the B&B before she got the reality show and she is apparently still running it. I also read an article somewhere online about it (an interview with Tori about the B&B). If I can find it, I’ll email you the link. You can probably Google it and find some good info.
Keep trying with the reservations.
Had it before they had the reality show?? Supposedly they bought it as part of the reality show. Not believing what Ms. Spelling had to say. But even if it is all true, not returning calls regarding reservations is simply just rude and poor business. If they’re sold out, they can simply state so…but they say there are still dates available…blah, blah, blah. Who knows the truth.
Dunno when they bought it – maybe they did buy it with the intention of doing a reality show with it. By the way, who DOES that? That’s a new reality-TV premise I’ve never heard of before. I heard the guests have to sign a consent form saying it’s ok for them to be filmed, and most of them have no problem with it. Actually one couple they had there left because they weren’t being filmed enough, LOL. Sounds like boring TV to me.

Found this website of pics of the B&B…….it ranks a 3.5 on the ratings of what I seen online so far and it currently going up. Of course it is a new business and they are both new to the business, so that is pretty good if you ask me for two people not having a clue what to do. The lease to own deal, which makes sense ….why go into a business if you are not sure you can handle it or like it. This way they are only out 800K++, not over 2mill..and lose your rears..The rooms are $165 a night to $365 a night…….and I think they will do good eventually. Just think they have alot going on at one time and there are only 4 rooms in this INN, I am sure they are booked solid. Plus, they have their hands in everything now including raising that little baby. As far as the TV show goes…….yeh it is reality tv, however I think Tori pry just got tired of all the media bashing she was getting and did this to make the record straight….so we could see firsthand how things are and how she really is.
Even if the show was staged, I thought it was great and couldn’t wait for the next show.
